  2. It's ready when you are

Your briefing is produced in advance and waiting before your alarm, even with a weak signal.

Why DayStart

Not another AI summary

Plenty of AI apps will read your calendar back to you. DayStart produces a show.

Start with the Top Story

Every briefing leads with the day's biggest story, and direct quotes are always attributed to who said them.

Built around your day

Your calendar, the weather where you're headed, and when to leave, folded into the brief before you're out of bed.

A produced show

Pick your host or add a co-host, jump between chapters, and play from your lock screen. Not a robot reading your notifications out loud.

Questions

Before you download

What do I hear in a briefing?

About five minutes, in chapters: the Top Story first, then the rest of the news, your calendar, the weather where you're headed, markets and sports if you pick them, and a quote to start the day. You choose what goes in and which host reads it.

Do I need an account?

No. DayStart works without an account and without tracking, so there is nothing to sign up for to get your core briefing. Signing in with Apple, Google, or Microsoft is optional, and only needed to connect a cloud calendar or sync settings across devices.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Monthly comes with a 3-day free trial and annual with 14 days. Weekly starts right away at $1.99/week with no trial. Cancel anytime before a trial ends and you won't be charged.

How do I cancel?

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose DayStart. Cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the current period ends.

Which calendars does it support?

Your iPhone's built-in calendar, right out of the box, plus Google Calendar and Outlook if you connect them in Settings. DayStart reads the day's events only, read-only, to build your brief, and you can disconnect anytime.

Is the podcast really free?

Yes. DayStart Daily is a free public podcast, no app and no account needed. Here's how to subscribe, and every episode has a full transcript on its page.
